The Chuhang Technology self-developed 77GHz millimeter-wave radar consists of theISO26262 ASIL B compliant millimeter-wave radar chip and digital signal processing chip set, the transmit & receive antenna array deployed on the high-performance RF PCB integrated with the millimeter-wave radar chip, the automotive-compatible MCU with powerful processing capability, and the AUTOSAR-based software architecture. As a result, the radar helps better meet the customer needs for customized code integration.

77GHz Front Radar

The Chuhang Technology “automotive-compatible platform” developed 77GHz long range front radar has superior detection capacity with a detection range of 220m. It shows high anti-interference capability and is capable of identifying and triggering warnings for beam blockages. The radar is ISO 26262 ASIL B compliant and equipped with functions such as adaptive cruise control (ACC), autonomous emergency braking (AEB), and forward collision warning (FCW).

Application scenarios

ACC

ACC is a comfortable feature that continuously obtains forward target information through front millimeter wave radar and other sensors, combining self-driving conditions to keep the vehicle moving at a constant speed or following the vehicle at a safe distance.

The ACC function helps to liberate the driver's feet and offers relief to the driver, especially in long-distance highway driving and in the stop-and-go traffic in urban driving.

AEB

The AEB/FCW functions further provide appropriate braking power to avoid collision by detecting the status of the target ahead, determining the collision risk level and issuing sound/light/touch warning information to the driver after the criticality of the operating condition exceeds a certain threshold

The AEB/FCW functions avoid most forward collisions with early warnings and emergency braking, which can greatly reduce a collision damage even in the event of a collision.
